Pyramid Play Structure

An inanimate form is built which a living form will grow to replace.

Intent

The intent was to provide a climbing and sheltering structure for elementary school students which could be used immediately but which would grow and change over time, using minimal virgin industrial materials.

108 sq ft wood planking for walls, site milled*

4 - Large poles (14' x 7"± diameter)*

6 - Smaller poles (8' x 4"± diameter)*

12- 8' x 2x4 (or more small poles*)

1 - log cutoff (for top)*

2 - through-bolt connections (for top)

16- bolt connections for wall frames-to-post

50 linear ft rope for climbing wall

pocket screws for wall frames

10- climbing holds

glass rounds (colored bottle bottoms?)

4 - 16 tree saplings (willow?)

grafting tape

wood chips for the ground
